After meeting on the set of Deep Water in late 2019, de Armas dated American actor Ben Affleck from March 2020 to January 2021. De Armas received significant criticism, particularly among members of the Cuban diaspora, for reportedly dating Anido Cuesta, the stepson of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel since November 2024. It was reported in July 2025 that she was dating American actor Tom Cruise after she was spotted attending an Oasis concert with him.
